Nina arrived with, perhaps unsurprisingly at this point, a few more bruises and wounds than she had the last time he saw her. Nasty bruises on her neck that looked too akin to bitemarks even after she tried to heal them; bandages over her chest and wrists and hands (though the latter was not terribly unusual, given her style of fighting), and a few other spots that looked like she had gotten into a hell of a brawl recently.

Purely out of curiosity, what did I do to anger you this time? Because this is the third time I've come home to all of my things hidden or in disarray and if that's how you start expressing your irritation, I'd prefer settling this the old fashioned way and putting you in the ground myself.

I daresay I know who has put you up to this. Very well. My feelings are that I don't necessarily hate sharks, despite what people like to think! In fact, I borrowed some key elements from sharks for my design of the Ketos. However, that was early on, before I became tired of sharks. There are only so many designs for one creature the populace can go through before it gets ridiculous. And I mean utterly ridiculous! Land sharks were innovative, until they were everywhere. The sharks bestowed with the power of flight were intriguing, if nothing else. Yet what can a shark do with eight limbs, I ask you? Or multiple heads? I went to work every day for a while with the expectation that I would be greeted with at least half a dozen shark concepts to grace my desk, and I had to fairly review every single one. And yet I could not simply tell the world at large to create something else, the way I wished to, and I could see the passion in their creations, and so... the world became inundated with shark concepts.

Well, that was a spectacular disaster, if I do say so myself; but I think it was better this time than last time. At least the pasta was not liable to break my teeth.

He squeezes, before teleporting back to the house inside his own room and assuming Lahabrea is right there with him, since he has his own powers back too. And once they're both back, he wastes no time in pulling Lahabrea close again and kissing him.

He assumes correctly. Now that his own powers have been returned to him, Lahabrea wastes absolutely no time into teleporting into the very same room. True, he could have chosen his own, but there is no reason to not choose Hythlodaeus'. If only because he had been the one to teleport first.

[After what happened with the cocoons and with Emet-Selch leaving, Hythlodaeus feels out of sorts, it's true. He misses his friend. He feels ashamed that he could not simply will himself to overcome the compulsion to harm others. It's not just him, either- Hermes and Venat were shaken by recent events too.
