to protest the Creator and the tyranny he reigns down on this city. Maybe no one listens, maybe no one cares, but if it gives hope to one heart or puts doubt into one mind, then itās worth it.
A noble enough cause, though it is a pity you got caught. I do hope you are unharmed. I suppose I simply haven't a clue how to protest these things. Amaurot was not the kind of city one needed to protest in.
Amaurot was paradise, indeed. Nobody went hungry, nobody slept on the streets, and nobody was harmed by one another. The most lively things got was accidents in testing facilities, concepts breaking free and eating people and so on.
I'm sorry they did what? That all sounds ideal, yes...except the safety measures, I suppose. Then again, no where is perfect unless it's the very home of the gods.
Well, many of our concepts were quite aggressive- so those of us who worked closely with them often could defend ourselves in some manner. But sometimes we were simply caught unawares, and situations arose in which we lost a few of our people. Akadaemia Anyder was a prime example of this- as a school where concepts were studied, usually with many in one enclosure, things would often get out of hand there.
You can't very well choose to make multiple-mouthed plant creatures with a taste for flesh and not reap the consequences, sadly.
[But it was all for the star's sake, so it's fine. Totally fine.]
For the star, of course. Said plant will dispose of any unwanted carcasses and such thanks to its inclination to eat almost anything. It it intelligent enough to form bonds with its caretakers, so accidents rarely happen, and it thrives in almost any climate. And quite frankly, I find all the mouths and teeth quite charming.
Here? No. On Etheirys... I was never as imaginative as others back home, I'll admit. I always felt my creations fell flat, and combined with the fact that anything too complex was difficult for me to imagine clearly, well. I did make a rather simple-looking critter once though, and he did have many teeth!
[After a moment, a photo comes through. The critter pictured is small, about as big as Hythlodaeus' hand, and stares blankly ahead.]
A Ketos, or if there are many of them, Ketea. And on the subject of teeth!
[Another photo of the same creature, still staring at the same spot, is sent to Chris' phone.]

The way you talk of your city is paradisiacal. Even my home had tyranny and strife and things to fight against.

Ok, yes
But why would you want to make something like that?

this is all a dumb headcanon but it's so friend shaped

I absolutely love it. A good friendshape...
is there something wrong with it?
it seems to be staring off into nothing
[Is it stupid, Hythlodaeus? There's probably no nice way to ask that...]

Yes of course
Well I like the shape of it
And its odd fish-like teeth

[But now is the time for the little one to become aether once more.]

As the creator of them, I can see your aesthetic pleasure in the creation
As the person often fighting and on the wrong end of those sharp teeth, I'll take my appreciation from a respectful distance.
